The machining and installation of inserts on engine blocks on site is done with a grinder called Bore, designed for machining sleeves inside the cylinder block on several levels, as well as the engine support parts. Laser makes the Bore’s alignment in the cylinder, with a possibility of error less than 0.01 mm all while maintaining its position with the bearing axis of the crankshaft. Inside the cylinder, instead of the inserts according to the manufacturers approved method.

Work on cylinders:

  • Check the positioning of the sleeve valve in the cylinder
  • Participate in the sleeve’s dismantling
  • Visual inspection sleeve valve
  • Taking dimensional statements on the cylinder’s interior and exterior
  • Machining work on sleeve valves if required
  • Production and installation of inserts
  • Participation in the sleeve valves instalment
  • Produce a detailed recommendations report
